However, I won't. I'm not so stupid and cruel as to do this and, moreover, I'm wondering how many ignorant people are there. Just try to understand: zoos is good. At least good zoo could be very favourable for an animals. If I could choose any animal form and could choose where I would live, I would chose to live as lion in a zoo. |

| My travel to Nizhny Novgorod / Kostroma / Kineshma |

As I promise here's my photos from the last travel. I may say at once that here isn't all photos cause a number of them is about five hundred and I cannot public here all of them. Better I'll place here most remarkable of them, of course, with some commentaries in English and German.
First of all I had a nice ride on the train ICE, rather known in Russia as “Sapsan”. The tickets costs among $63 from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod. Maximal speed of the train on this track was no higher than 100 mph. They had to build a special branch line for this trains before buying them. Moreover I was shocked by a prices in the catering car: a cup of coffee costs about $3-4. Maybe is't normal price for Europe but definitely not for Russia.
I have arrived to Nizhny Novgorod railroad station. Half of a day I've spent there with my friend. So...

I'm blowing for a couple weeks and so I shouldn't be online during this time. I'm going to Nizhniy Novgorod by train ICE, also known in Russia as “Sapsan” (peregrine falcon). It will be my first leave of absence for the past few years so I hope I can have a good time far away from Moscow. And, of course, I'll return with a good photos. =)
P.S. What the f*ck is going on?! Why my design of this blog had changed to default? I've spent so much time for tuning that and now I lost it. Ach du meine fr*ße!

I've scanned one of my book: “Lion Attacks” by Patrick J. Fitzgerald. It's the small book about lions and how dangerous they can be. Actually it's the children book, but this book is a great reminder that keeping lions it isn't only joy and fun.

| New Changes in New Year |

The last year seems to be as useless asthe one before that. What does all this add up to? I figure something there should be changes in the new year. I shan't write in this journal anymore in Russian anymore in the first place. It caused by subjective-nationalistic-rationalistic reasons. Henceforth there will be only English (however, I expect writing some posts in German). This is the last post dubbed in Russian. I know it may be a bit uneasy for me, something can be incomprehensible, something can obliged me to open my dictionary. Moreover, writing can take long. I may be not so literate as you would like to see. But it's let myself develop and learn.
For a start I want to translate my most important posts to English. To my sorrow, they contain some things that cannot be translated in full. The problem is hard to solve and, probably, my blog will lose something in the beginning. I'm ready for the changes nevertheless and I hope all of my regular readers can follow that easily.
Secondly I'm planning to learning German in-depth. It can be useful for me if I am going to live in Namibia or even in Germany. Also it can be helpful for communicate with my “brothers in arms” in online-games. :) BTW during the holidays I've found some nice German songs. I will write about them in one of a next posts (it should be the new regular rubric — “5 Nice German Songs”). And now lebe wohl, meine Russische Schwe... mean... Freunde. :)

Поздравляю всех моих читателей с наступившим Новым Годом! В новом году желаю вам удачи, счастья, здоровья и взаимопонимания. Ну и всего то, чего обычно желают. Желаю моему начальству чтобы прибавили мне зарплату. Желаю тиграм быстрого и по возможности гуманного вымирания, может тогда они перестанут меня преследовать повсюду; пусть лучше меня преследуют кролики. А ещё желаю чтобы следующим летом здесь было как минимум 50°C/122°F и никаких дождей всё лето. В общем, желаю чтобы этот мир изменился к лучшему.
А теперь пора подвести итоги ушедшего года. Что хорошего я сделал? Как всегда практически ничего:
+ Посетил ряд естественнонаучных московских музеев;
+ Пополнил свою коллекцию массой интересных книг и дисков, а также...;
+ Купил читалку Amazon.Kindle, с которой можно покупать книги в электронном виде. Первой книгой, которую я купил таким образом стала Ratha's Creature;
+ Сделал резервную копию всего содержимого своего FTP. Теперь выход из строя жёстких дисков не страшен;
+ Но самое главное — в этом году я понял кое-что важное, о чём я напишу как-нибудь позже.
Вот собственно и всё. Плохого было много, но давайте оставим всё плохое в прошедшем году и пусть новый год обязательно будет лучше прошлого. С Новым Годом! |
